unfortunately like everything in Cyprus, CTO is also politically driven. The political parties control every directing body on the island and appoint their 'own' people for positions which they usually don't have the background / experience / knowledge to fulfil properly.

That's great news - the more flights to Cyprus the better - more and more people are doing the DIY holiday rather than package and therefore Cyprus needs more low fare flights!!
