Affiliate and Social Media Networks - the presentation
This presentation looks at the future of travel and the use of the social web as a channel for
business.
We explored insights from monitoring online conversations that were
happening about Cyprus,
their sentiment, influence, where they were happening and how Cyprus compares
to countries of a similar size.
I demonstrate the importance of blogs, comments, video,
images and maps and how successful aggregators, tour operators and travel
planning sites have adopted these features to help influence the customer, and provide
a better and more useful service to users resulting in increased conversion
rates.
This is the context for people by looking at how and why
one would use social functionality on sites, and how one could start going
about engaging with social media, and the discussions that are currently taking
place around us.
